GLAMOUR-ous L'Oreal Nail Polish for Chic Tips & a Great Cause

For four consecutive years, Glamour has raised money for extraordinary philanthropic organizations through the Glamour Women of the Year Fund initiative; this year also marks the twentieth anniversary of Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards, and to celebrate, Glamour and L’Oréal Paris have teamed up for the first time on an exclusive, limited edition nail polish shade: "Glamour Woman of the Year."
Almost half of the purchase price ($3) of every bottle of the sophisticated shade sold will go to support the humanitarian efforts of Dr. Hawa Abdi of Somalia, a 63-year-old ob-gyn and her two doctor daughters who provide food and care on her family’s land outside Mogadishu to approximately 90,000 Somalis displaced by that country’s violence. "The Glamour Women of the Year Fund is something I am incredibly proud of, and we are thrilled to be partnering with L'Oréal Paris for this effort. L'Oréal Paris's limited edition Woman of the Year nail polish offers our readers a fun and fashionable way to support the good works of women around the world," says Cindi Leive, editor-in-chief of Glamour magazine.

“We are proud to partner with Glamour to celebrate the Woman of the Year Fund honoree," adds L’Oréal Paris President Karen Fondu. "Dr. Hawa Abdi has made unprecedented contributions to helping women in need of urgent medical care. We’ve created the limited edition L’Oréal Paris Glamour Woman of the Year nail polish to raise awareness around her efforts and encourage women everywhere to make beautiful differences in their communities. Dr. Abdi is truly inspiring, and we applaud her courage and commitment to making our world a better place.”
